General Motors Corporation seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to join the AV team, shaping sensor system architecture and integration across autonomy programs. You will evaluate multi-modality sensor suites and work with AI/ML, platform software, and vehicle integration teams to translate vehicle needs into robust, production-ready solutions.

The role requires strong system-level thinking and experience with camera/radar/lidar sensing, collaborating across disciplines to ensure scalable deployment

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Software, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in sensor-intensive fields, systems engineering/architecture, autonomy, or related.
• Experience with sensing systems (camera, radar, lidar) and integration.
• Experience with requirements development, interface definition, integration, and validation.
• Experience with Matlab, Python or other data analysis tools.
• Understanding of self-driving challenges and sensor needs.

Mansioni

• Execute system-level trade studies for multi-modality sensor designs with performance modeling.
• Develop detailed sensor performance specifications with sensor physics knowledge.
• Assess performance against product needs to quantify risk and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with simulation, vehicle integration, perception, localization, and validation teams to manage interdependencies.
• Document technical decisions, trade-offs, and deliverables.
