General Motors is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the AV Sensing Design team. You will perform systemlevel trade studies and define sensor suites spanning camera, radar, lidar, and more, ensuring robust integration across GM autonomy programs.

You will collaborate with AI/ML, platform software, and vehicle integration teams, translating first‑principles analysis into production‑ready solutions that meet product intent and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in EE/CE/CS or related field.
• 5+ years of sensor-focused experience.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
• Ability to perform system-level trade studies.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Execute system-level trade studies for multi-modality sensor designs.
• Develop performance specifications for sensors based on physics.
• Assess performance against product needs and quantify risk.
• Collaborate with simulation, vehicle integration, perception, localization, and validation teams.
• Document technical decisions, trade-offs, and deliverables.
