Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the DIARCM program at NAS Patuxent River, Lexington Park, MD. The role focuses on the research, development, integration, test, acquisition, and lifecycle support of electronic systems providing aircrew with situational awareness for safety-of-flight.

You will apply engineering methods across multi-disciplinary teams, support readiness and sustainment, and travel as needed for coordination with partner commands and sponsors.

Qualifications

• MS or MA in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college
• Substitution option: BS/BA with 4 years of relevant experience
• At least 10 years of recent and relevant engineering experience, 3 of which with DoD systems
• Experience delivering results in multi-level security projects
• Direct experience in defense, aerospace, or government programs
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills for working with engineers, logisticians, and multi-disciplinary teams
• Proficient in the MS Office 365 suite
• Active Top Secret with SCI and SAP eligibility

Responsibilities

• Perform research, development, integration, test, acquisition, and lifecycle support of electronic systems providing aircrew situational awareness for safety-of-flight.
• Apply systems engineering methods and tools to design and test practical engineering solutions.
• Guide the development of modern, complex systems across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Advise on technical aspects of systems, processes, equipment and methods throughout project lifecycle.
• Ensure effective communication across multi-level security environments.
• Develop new concepts and usages of materials/hardware/software/tactics.
• Support readiness and sustainment through lifecycle documentation and risk management.
• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams, sponsors, and external agencies.
