Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC seeks a Systems Engineer (Journeyman) to support PMA-260 at Patuxent River NAS, Lexington Park, MD. The role is a full-time hybrid position with local telework and on-site 2–3 days per week, plus travel ~15% to support aviation ground equipment programs.

You will lead requirements development, system integration across engineering disciplines, and prepare technical documentation while ensuring reliability, safety, and performance of common aviation support equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college.
• At least three years of recent, relevant Systems Engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles for common aviation support equipment.
• Experience managing large-scale engineering programs.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher, or ability to obtain.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Support and take direction from PMA-260 leadership and program managers.
• Integrate various engineering disciplines and technical efforts.
• Manage requirements development, technical planning, and coordination of programs.
• Support SETR documentation and artifacts for reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation (reports, drawings, briefings).
• Apply knowledge of support equipment development and naval aviation policies.
• Focus on reliability, maintainability, safety, quality, and performance.
• Provide specialized technical expertise on support equipment.
• Anticipate technical issues that could impact safety or performance and take action.
• Brief Program Office management on task status and issues.
