Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in the United States is seeking a Systems Architect – Senior Member of Technical Staff to join the Enterprise Systems Engineering team. This role focuses on architecture studies, MBSE, and cross-disciplinary analyses to inform key acquisition and operations decisions.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with program offices and customers, and apply SysML/UAF/UPDM modeling techniques. A TS/SCI clearance and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• PhD in engineering, science, or related technical field (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)
• 0-1 year of industry experience
• Experience/coursework/projects in system or enterprise architecting, systems engineering, concept design, and/or MBSE
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills; ability to collaborate
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally ~5-10%
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required
• Transcripts required

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in architecture studies with multidisciplinary teams
• Develop and apply architecture methods, processes, and tools
• Evaluate architectural concepts for cost, schedule, performance, risk, resilience
• Utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering capabilities
• Elicit needs and communicate results to stakeholders; mentor junior staff
• Collaborate with other Aerospace personnel to enable concurrent engineering
