Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a System Architect – Associate Member of Technical Staff in the Enterprise Effects Division. The role involves leading architecture studies, applying disciplined architecting methods, and evaluating concepts for cost, schedule, and performance. Travel is expected; TS/SCI clearance and U.S.

citizenship are required. Minimum qualifications include a STEM bachelor and 0–1 year experience, plus internship experience and MBSE skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, or related technical field (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)
• 0-1 year of industry experience
• Prior internship with The Aerospace Corporation
• Experience/coursework in system or enterprise architecting, systems engineering, concept design, and/or model-based systems engineering
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse set of collaborators
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to learn new skills and acquire knowledge through self-study and mentoring
• Available to travel domestically and internationally ~5-10%
• Must be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required
• Transcripts required for this position

Responsibilities

• Participate in architecture studies of varying system complexity, including multi-disciplinary engineering teams, problem framing, gap analysis, and trade space assessment
• Learn and apply disciplined system architecting methods, processes, and tools across architecture-level assessment, modeling, analysis, and conceptual design
• Use, develop, and integrate analytical methods to evaluate architectural concepts for cost, schedule, performance, risk, and resilience
• Collaborate with program office, customer, and contractor to elicit needs, plan and execute studies, and communicate results in briefings and reports

Education

Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field

0-1 year of industry experience

Experience in system or enterprise architecting or MBSE

Interpersonal and communication skills

Willingness to travel 5-10% domestically and internationally
