Job summary

STC, an Arcfield Company, seeks an experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support complex national security and space systems initiatives. You will develop digital models and system architectures, perform trade-space analyses, and produce technical documentation for portfolio-level decisions.

Role requires applying MBSE methodologies, proficiency with SysML/UAF/Cameo/MagicDraw, and collaboration with government leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS/ MS/ PhD in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Eng, Electrical Eng, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering, MBSE, or digital engineering in government/space domains.
• Experience applying MBSE across lifecycle: requirements, CONOPS, architecture, integration, verification, validation, reviews.
• Proficiency with MBSE frameworks and tools such as SysML, UAF, Cameo, MagicDraw.
• Understanding of system-of-systems for space, ground, sensing, or multi-domain missions.
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and government documentation preferred.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Apply MBSE methodologies across lifecycle of space systems (concept to maturation).
• Develop digital models supporting acquisition lifecycle activities and decision making.
• Assist design and evaluation of space, ground, and multi-domain architectures.
• Conduct trade studies, feasibility analyses, and predictive simulations for performance and risk.
• Translate operational needs into acquisition strategies and technical metrics.
• Collaborate with government leadership and cross-functional teams to align objectives.
