Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Nashua, NH, is seeking a Systems Architect to lead high-speed interconnect design for backplane products. You will translate system needs into connector architectures and guide the design team to meet customer requirements.

The role requires a strong engineering background with 10+ years in IT/Datacom hardware, and travel may be involved as you interface with strategic customers and internal groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) is highly desirable.
• 10+ years of hardware and interconnect solutions experience in IT/Datacom.
• Background in signal transmission, EMI/EMC, and/or mechanics with CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutions involving high-speed backplane connectors.
• Serve as the technical face of HSBP for strategic customers, translating system requirements into connector architecture.
• Guide the HSBP roadmap with SI engineering, mechanical design, and product management.
• Prepare and deliver high-level technical presentations to stakeholders.
• Provide advanced technical support on backplane interconnect problems.
• Define differentiation strategy for HSBP products.
• Coordinate with other business units to ensure a consistent systems-level narrative.
• Some travel required.
