Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, invites applications for a Hardware Design Engineer in Nashua, NH. You will join the High Speed Products Group to develop next-generation high-speed backplane interconnects, performing design, simulation, and characterization to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities include collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams, PCB layout considerations, and solving signal integrity challenges with TDR, VNA, and related test

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Hands-on experience with frequency- and time-domain characterization.
• Experience with SI measurements using TDR, VNA, pattern generators.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on multi-disciplinary team for next-gen high-speed backplane interconnects.
• Design, simulation, characterization and application of high-speed connectors and interconnects.
• Assist customers with high-speed data transmission needs.
• Support Sales Engineers with product break-in strategies via expertise in SI and EE.
• Identify and resolve SI issues in PCB layout and direct layout decisions.
• Apply circuit theory and high-speed digital design principles.
