Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) desirable.
• 10+ years of hardware and interconnect experience in IT/Datacom.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutions involving Amphenol’s high speed backplane connector portfolio (board-to-board, hybrid, and related topologies).
• Serve as the technical face of HSBP for strategic customers, translating system-level requirements into connector architecture direction.
• Guide the HSBP product roadmap with SI engineering, mechanical design, and product management, aligning with emerging standards and customer timelines.
• Prepare and deliver high-level technical presentations to key stakeholders, including customer executives and internal leadership.
• Provide advanced technical support on complex backplane interconnect problems raised by customers or internal teams.
• Devise and communicate differentiation strategy for HSBP products relative to competing solutions.
• Partner with other business units to ensure a consistent systems-level narrative across Amphenol's interconnect portfolio.
• Some travel required.
