Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Nashua, NH, is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on next-generation high-speed backplane interconnect products.

You will design, simulate, characterize, and apply high-speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnect, while supporting customers and internal Sales Engineers with signal integrity expertise.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics is required.
• Experience with frequency-domain and time-domain characterization including test/calibration methods.
• Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA, pattern generators, ED and similar equipment.
• Understanding of electromagnetic principles is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on a multi-disciplinary team to develop next generation high-speed backplane interconnect products.
• Design, simulate, characterize, and apply high-speed connectors and cable-based interconnects.
• Support customers across sectors with high-speed data transmission expertise.
• Assist Sales Engineers in product break-in strategies based on signal integrity and EE expertise.
• Identify and resolve signal integrity issues in PCB layout and guide layout decisions.
• Apply circuit theory and high-speed transmission concepts for high-speed digital design.
