Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Systems Architect in Nashua, NH to lead architecture for high-speed backplane connectors and steer the product roadmap. You will interface with hyperscale and AI/ML accounts, translating system requirements into connector architectures and ensuring alignment with IEEE/CEI standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Master’s/PhD desirable.
• Mechanical or Electrical background preferred for signal transmission/EMI/EMC and materials/tolerance analysis.
• Minimum of 10 years hardware/interconnect experience in IT/Datacom.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutions involving high-speed backplane connectors.
• Serve as technical face of HSBP for strategic customers, translating system-level requirements into connector architecture direction.
• Guide the HSBP product roadmap with engineering, mechanical design, and product management, aligning with standards and timelines.
• Prepare and deliver high-level technical presentations to stakeholders and leadership.
• Provide advanced technical support on complex backplane interconnect problems.
• Develop differentiation strategy for HSBP products vs competitors.
• Collaborate with other business units to ensure a consistent systems-level narrative.
