Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Systems Architect to lead architectural design and strategic direction for high-speed backplane connectors. This role interfaces with major customers, translating system requirements into robust connector architectures.

You will drive roadmaps with engineering and product teams, ensure alignment with standards (IEEE 802.3dj, OIF CEI-112G/224G), and deliver executive-level technical presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required or preferred; background in electrical/mechanical engineering
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) highly desirable
• Role draws on either electronic engineering (signal integrity, EMI/EMC) or mechanical engineering (materials, CAD)
• Minimum of 10 years relevant hardware and interconnect experience in IT/Datacom space

Responsabilités

• Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutions involving high-speed backplane connectors
• Serve as the technical face of HSBP for strategic customers, translating system requirements into connector architecture direction
• Guide the HSBP product roadmap aligning with emerging standards and customer platform timelines
• Prepare and deliver high-level technical presentations to stakeholdersincluding executives and internal leadership
• Provide advanced technical support on complex backplane interconnect problems
• Devise and communicate differentiation strategy for HSBP products versus competitors
• Partner with other business units to ensure a consistent systems-level narrative
• Some travel required
