Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Systems Architect to lead architectural design for high-speed backplane connectors and translate system requirements into connector solutions in Nashua, NH.

You will steer the product roadmap with SI engineering and mechanical design, align with standards (IEEE 802.3dj, OIF CEI-112G/224G), and present to executives while providing rapid expert support. Travel is required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering preferred; an advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Role draws on electronic engineering background (signal transmission, EMI/EMC, SI/PI) and/or mechanical engineering background (materials, tolerance analysis, CAD).
• Minimum of 10 years relevant hardware and interconnect solutions experience in IT/Datacom.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutions involving Amphenol’s high speed backplane connector portfolio (board-to-board, hybrid, and related topologies).
• Serve as the technical face of HSBP for strategic customers, translating system-level requirements into connector architecture direction.
• Guide the HSBP product roadmap in coordination with SI engineering, mechanical design, and product management, aligning with emerging standards (IEEE 802.3dj, OIF CEI-112G/224G) and timelines.
• Prepare and deliver high-level technical presentations to key stakeholders, including customer executives and internal leadership.
• Provide advanced technical support on complex backplane interconnect problems raised by customers or internal teams.
• Devise and communicate differentiation strategy for HSBP products relative to competitors.
• Partner with other business units to ensure a consistent systems-level narrative across Amphenol's interconnect portfolio.
• Some travel required.
