Job summary

Kapitus seeks a Systems Administrator III to architect, secure, and support critical fintech infrastructure across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid platforms. You will lead by example, mentor junior engineers, and drive automation and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll design and maintain secure Azure-centric IaaS/PaaS/SaaS solutions, manage Windows Server, AD, M365, IAM, and Zero Trust controls while partnering with Security, Compliance, and Networking teams to meet regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years progressive systems administration experience; 2+ years in senior/L3 role.
• Experience in fintech/regulatory environment preferred.
• MS 365 administration mastery including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
• Strong AD/Azure AD including Group Policy, RBAC, Conditional Access.
• Proficiency with VMware vSphere and Citrix Virtual Desktops on Azure.
• Networking: firewalls, Meraki, VPN, DNS; network segmentation.
• IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Experience with PCI-DSS, SOC 2 Type II, SOX ITGC.
• Cloud backup and disaster recovery planning.
• Zero Trust security architecture principles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for complex infra issues from L1/L2 support.
• Design and maintain secure, highly available infra across private, public, and hybrid clouds (Azure focus).
• Lead architecture/deployment of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS aligned with fintech compliance.
• Administer and harden Windows Server, AD, and M365 services.
• Manage endpoint security and MDM; enforce Zero Trust principles.
• Implement IAM controls: Azure AD Conditional Access, MFA, SSO.
• Collaborate with network teams on firewalls, VPNs, segmentation.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code to automate tasks and reduce toil.
• Support virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Citrix Virtual Desktops on Azure).
• Oversee backup, DR testing, and recovery objectives; monitor security posture.
• Prepare and maintain technical runbooks and SOPs.
• Mentor junior admins and coordinate with Security/Compliance teams.
