Job summary

BITHGROUP Technologies in Baltimore, MD seeks a Systems Administrator to manage and secure our IT environment across Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud, and on‑premises systems. This hands-on role reports to IT leadership and spans operations, security, and optimization.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in systems administration, strong Azure/M365 experience, PowerShell scripting, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems administration experience.
• Strong Azure and Microsoft 365 administration experience including Intune, Entra ID, and Exchange.
• Fluent with PowerShell and multiple OS (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
• Familiarity with Hyper-V environments and RHEL.
• Comfortable with scripting automation and light coding.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day administration of IT infrastructure including 365, Azure, cloud, and on‑prem systems.
• Oversee security, network, and backup/recovery operations.
• Install, configure, secure, update, document and monitor servers, firewalls, endpoints, cloud services, and infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, connectivity, and security issues.
• Document and maintain IT inventory, configurations, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with leadership to review processes and drive improvements.
• Support Helpdesk and technical end-user issues.
• Provide training to end-users and junior staff.
