Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks a Senior Test Lead with a strong background in AC/DC testing of protection relays, MV switchgear, and arc flash. The role requires leading a team of technicians and ensuring compliance with NEC and IEEE standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining testing schedules, reviewing plans and reports, and driving quality improvements while upholding safety protocols on site in Dallas.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related work experience.
• Hands-on testing of AC/DC on protection relays, MV switchgear, MV breakers, arc flash.
• Experience leading a team of technicians.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE Codes and electrical safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain testing schedule per Crown project and production schedules.
• Monitor testing status daily and review project specs with technicians.
• Review test plans against schematics and ensure testing adheres to procedures.
• Maintain and upload all test reports and schematics to project folders.
• Lead problem-solving initiatives to improve testing efficiency and quality.
• Ensure adherence to testing standards and safety procedures; report incidents.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Perform power testing of protective relay panels, MV switchgear line-ups, and related components.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
