Job summary

Modular Mission Critical seeks an experienced electrical technician to lead inspection, testing and startup of LV/MV equipment in data center and utility environments. You will perform relay, transformer and switchgear testing, interpret schematics, and ensure safety and quality on-site and in shop settings.

The role requires 5+ years of electrical experience, travel (local, regional, national; international preferred), and strong knowledge of NETA/ANSI standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of electrical experience with HS Diploma/GED or 4+ years with an associate’s degree or 3+ years with a bachelor's degree.
• Valid U.S. work authorization.
• NETA/NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC and OSHA standards.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Proficiency in protective relays, breakers, transformers and relay testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and startup of LV/MV equipment.
• Test cables, transformers, switchgear, breakers and relays daily in field or shop.
• Contain costs by reducing waste and implementing controls.
• Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to outages when needed.
• Promote continuous improvement and teamwork across projects.
• Follow drawings to identify installation problems and resolve issues.
• Maintain detailed test reports and documentation for client review.
