Job summary

RTX is seeking a System Safety / HSI engineer in the United States (Aurora, CO) to develop MIL-STD-882E compliant safety programs and perform hazard analyses across the lifecycle. You will coordinate with customer safety representatives and internal teams to ensure proper safety allocations and approvals.

The role focuses on risk assessment, safety documentation, and collaboration with multiple disciplines to protect people and hardware, with relocation eligible and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with System Safety Engineering and/or Software Safety Engineering.
• Experience with complex systems and risk evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs and analyses.
• Collaborate with customer safety representatives to clarify requirements and allocate tasks.
• Work across engineering disciplines to understand architecture and controls.
• Support safety through program startup to disposal phases.
