Job summary

RTX's System Safety / Human System Integration department is seeking Senior System Safety Engineers for onsite roles in Woburn, MA, and nearby locations. You will develop MIL-STD-882E compliant programs and lead hazard analyses across hardware and software domains.

Collaborate with multiple engineering teams, support lifecycle safety from startup to disposal, and prepare internal and customer reports. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance required; active clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Safety Engineering.
• Experience writing technical reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• System Safety Program Development and Execution as outlined by MIL-STD-882E.
• Coordinate with customer safety representatives for requirements and approvals.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to identify hazards and implement controls.
• Support safety efforts through program startup to disposal phases.
• Prepare internal and customer-facing system safety reports.
