Job summary

RTX is hiring for System Safety Engineers in an onsite role across Woburn, MA; Marlborough, MA; Andover, MA; and Portsmouth, RI.

This role requires DoD Secret clearance, US citizenship, a STEM degree, and experience in system safety, software/firmware analysis, and MIL-STD-882. Salary range is 57,200–108,800 USD with benefits including medical and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) typically required.
• Experience with systems, software or test engineering.
• Experience performing MIL-STD-882 System Safety tasks and analyses is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support safety strategy execution to meet milestones with system safety features integrated into the product.
• Integrate system safety tasks into the program IMS and attend reviews.
• Collaborate with Lead System Safety Engineer and Portfolio Engineering Lead for guidance on technical execution.
