Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior System Protection Engineer to join our Grid Services team. This role leads system protection engineering—relay settings, protection philosophies, and power system studies—with a secondary focus on supporting and reviewing substation protection and control design for high‑voltage transmission projects.

Qualifications
- ABET‑accredited electrical engineering degree required.
- 7+ years in system protection engineering for transmission/substation projects.
- Experience with relay settings and protection studies.
Responsibilities
- Perform system protection studies including short‑circuit analysis and relay coordination.
- Configure, set, and troubleshoot microprocessor‑based protective relays using vendor software.
- Develop and review P&C design documents (one‑lines, three‑lines, schematics).
- Support commissioning and field energization, including review of test plans.
- Ensure protection schemes comply with applicable standards and client requirements.
- Manage relay records, settings, and documentation in databases.
