Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior System Protection Engineer to join our Grid Services team. This role focuses on system protection engineering—relay settings, protection philosophies, and power system studies—with a secondary role in supporting substation protection and control design for high‑voltage transmission projects.

You will develop and review protection schemes, configure microprocessor relays with vendor software, manage relay data, and participate in commissioning and field

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET‑accredited program.
7+ years in system protection engineering for transmission/substation projects.
Experience with relay settings and protection studies.

Responsibilities

Perform system protection studies including short‑circuit analysis and time‑current curves.
Configure and troubleshoot microprocessor relays using vendor software.
Develop and review P&C design documents (one‑lines, three‑lines, schematics).
Support commissioning and field energization activities.
