Job summary

Kern Community College District is seeking a System Support Specialist II to troubleshoot, repair and optimize the college's IT systems and applications, including networks, servers, workstations and printers, supporting staff and students.

You will lead and coordinate IT tasks with district resources, develop efficient support processes, manage asset records, and provide hands-on training to users to ensure reliable technology services across Bakersfield campuses.

Qualifications

• Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining IT systems across networks, servers and endpoints.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, group policies and printerresources.
• Able to support campus applications and workstation imaging.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and support network, server and client infrastructure.
• Maintain and troubleshoot campus applications and hardware.
• Manage AD policies, printers, shares and user accounts.
• Replace and repair PCs, laptops, printers, and related hardware.
• Lead small IT workgroups and coordinate with district resources.
• Document processes and maintain accurate asset records.
• Assist with Help Desk tickets and user training.
