Job summary

South San Francisco Unified School District is seeking an IT Specialist II to support district-wide information technology services, including installation, configuration, operation, repair and maintenance of network servers, routers, firewalls, and switches.

The role requires a high school diploma plus a college degree in computer science or related field and at least three years of relevant experience, with CCNA or MCSE preferred and a CA driver's license for travel.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school plus college-level degree in computer science or related field, with three years of IT experience.
• Valid California driver’s license and proof of CA auto liability insurance; travel required with personal automobile.
• CCNA and/or MCSE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, monitor and provide services in installation, configuration, operation, repair and maintenance of network servers, routers, firewalls and switches.
• Coordinate, monitor and resolve daily work order requests and assign tasks to staff.
• Provide technical guidance and support to end-users district-wide; assure proper network security.
• Oversee and perform data mapping and warehousing functions.
