Job summary

DCCA is seeking a System Administrator 3 in Maryland to support TS/SCI w/ Poly clearances for government and commercial clients. This role focuses on Linux, UNIX and Windows, virtualization (VMware) and scripting to automate tasks and optimize IT operations.

The successful candidate will manage day-to-day IT operations, provide Tier 1/2 support, implement system enhancements, and contribute to capacity planning while maintaining security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 15 years of related experience; or 20 years of experience as a System Administrator.
• Security+ certification is required.
• Experience supporting multiple operating systems (Linux/UNIX/Windows).

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support.
• Communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
• Support dispatch system and hardware problems and assist in resolutions.
• Configure and manage Linux, UNIX and Windows operating systems and load OS software.
• Perform system capacity analysis and planning.
