Job summary

BCT LLC is seeking a System Administrator III to join our team in Maryland. The ideal candidate must be TS/SCI with poly and will provide support for a large-scale Linux system including software installation, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution across compute, network, memory, and storage components.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with poly required
• Experience with large Linux cluster management
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite
• Experience with security/compliance policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
• Provide Tier 1 Help Desk, problem identification, diagnosis and resolution
• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 escalation support
• Support IT systems including day-to-day operations for devices and network elements
• Communicate status to agency management and internal customers
• Optimize system operations and capacity planning
• Troubleshoot IT systems in depth
• Provide feedback to management on escalated tickets
• Support the dispatch system and hardware problems
• Configure UNIX and Windows operating systems and load OS software
• Support system design and hardware in mission architectures
• Understand SOA interdependencies
• Analyze and resolve complex problems
