Job summary

HCLTech seeks a Senior Syncade MES Performance Engineer to act as the technical SME for Emerson Syncade MES and related technologies. You will focus on performance improvements, SQL Server tuning, and troubleshooting in regulated manufacturing environments.

The ideal candidate has deep Syncade MES expertise, advanced SQL skills, and experience optimizing MES integrations across cross-functional teams to enhance stability and throughput.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Emerson Syncade MES.
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Administration and Development.
• Proven experience performance tuning and optimizing Syncade-based MES applications.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including: Query tuning, Stored procedures, Index optimization, Performance monitoring, Execution plan analysis.
• Strong understanding of Syncade integrations, interfaces, and data exchange mechanisms.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting complex MES production environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience providing architecture and performance optimization recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical SME for Emerson Syncade MES applications and supporting architecture.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex performance issues across Syncade MES applications and SQL Server environments.
• Perform advanced SQL Server performance tuning, including: Query optimization, Indexing strategies, Execution plan analysis, Database health assessments, Performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Support optimization and troubleshooting of Syncade integrations, interfaces, and enterprise data flows.
• Conduct root cause analysis for application, database, and integration-related performance bottlenecks.
• Partner with MES, Infrastructure, Database, and Application teams to improve system stability, scalability, and performance.
• Review current application and database architecture and recommend performance optimization best practices.
• Support Syncade upgrades, enhancements, releases, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical recommendations and architecture-level guidance to business and IT stakeholders.
• Assist in maintaining reliable MES operations in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Syncade MES Performance Engineer to serve as the primary technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Emerson Syncade MES applications and related technologies. This role will focus on improving application performance, optimizing SQL Server databases, troubleshooting complex production issues, and driving operational excellence across MES environments.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Syncade MES, Microsoft SQL Server, performance tuning, and MES integrations within regulated manufacturing environments.

• Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems integration with ERP, historian, and enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with system monitoring and performance management tools.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $50/hour

Pay Range Maximum: $75/ hour
