Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Operations Specialist IV to join a dynamic manufacturing organization. This position serves as the highest-level individual contributor within the Manufacturing Operations Specialist career path, providing senior leadership in manufacturing execution, production control, material readiness, manufacturing systems oversight, and operational performance.
The role acts as a strategic partner to Operations Management and a key liaison across Operations, Planning, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Digital, and Manufacturing teams to drive production readiness, work order execution, inventory coordination, operational reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Manufacturing Operations Specialist IV frequently leads Tier 2 production meetings, promotes cross-functional accountability, supports production scale-up activities, and ensures alignment of operational priorities with manufacturing schedules, build commitments, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations & Production Control
- Lead and own daily operational execution activities supporting manufacturing output, schedule attainment, production readiness, and operational objectives.
- Establish, communicate, and drive operational priorities to support production goals, build commitments, and manufacturing schedule adherence.
- Independently create, release, prioritize, manage, and close manufacturing work orders, including production and rework work orders, using MES, SAP/ERP, and other approved manufacturing systems.
- Ensure manufacturing readiness through effective production control, material coordination, and inventory availability.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Lead coordination across Manufacturing, Planning, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Digital, and other support functions to ensure production readiness and issue resolution.
- Lead daily Tier 1 meetings and frequently support or lead Tier 2 production meetings.
- Communicate production status, schedule risks, material readiness concerns, operational constraints, and mitigation plans to leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive accountability for action items impacting production execution, inventory accuracy, schedule attainment, and system readiness.
Manufacturing Systems & Reporting
- Serve as a subject matter expert for MES transactions, SAP/ERP manufacturing processes, Power BI reporting, production control activities, inventory transactions, and material flow processes.
- Support manufacturing system activities, including MES management, SAP support, dashboard maintenance, production reporting, rework work order management, and issue resolution.
- Maintain and improve Power BI dashboards, production metrics, build trackers, and operational reporting tools.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Good Documentation Practices.
Inventory & Material Management
- Coordinate material availability, kitting, replenishment, staging, Kanban activities, and inventory readiness processes.
- Perform and support inventory verification, cycle count reviews, material reconciliation, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Collaborate with Materials, Supply Chain, Planning, and Operations teams to improve inventory management and material flow.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Identify operational bottlenecks, system gaps, workflow inefficiencies, and manufacturing execution risks.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, inventory control, production readiness, and process standardization.
- Develop and sustain standard work, reporting processes, training materials, work instructions, and best practices.
- Analyze manufacturing performance data and operational trends to support business decision-making and strategic improvements.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to junior Manufacturing Operations Specialists.
- Promote knowledge sharing, operational consistency, and team effectiveness.
- Support production scale-up initiatives, capacity planning, and future manufacturing readiness activities.
Compliance & Documentation
- Operate within a regulated manufacturing environment while maintaining compliance with:
- ISO 13485
- FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR)
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Maintain accurate records, manufacturing documentation, operational files, and work areas in accordance with company standards.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (Onsite)
- Occasional evening or weekend support may be required.
- Overtime may be required based on production demand.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $38.0 per hour
Pay Range Maximum: $48.00 per hour

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
