Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a strong Technical Subject Matter Expert to own Emerson Syncade MES applications and associated SQL Server environments. You will analyze performance, tune queries, optimize indexes, and collaborate with MES, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure system stability and scalability.

In this role you will engage with business and technical stakeholders, review architectures, and recommend best practices. A proven track record in Syncade and SQL Server is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Emerson Syncade MES.
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration and development.
• Proven experience in performance tuning and optimization of Syncade-based applications.
• Expertise in SQL query tuning, stored procedures, indexing, and performance monitoring.
• Good understanding of Syncade integrations, interfaces, and data exchange mechanisms.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to engage with business and technical stakeholders and provide architecture-level recommendations.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical SME for Emerson Syncade MES applications and underlying architecture.
• Analyze and resolve complex performance issues within Syncade MES applications and associated SQL Server databases.
• Perform SQL Server performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and database health assessments.
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of Syncade integrations, interfaces, and data flows with enterprise systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis of application, database, and integration performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with MES, infrastructure, and application teams to improve system stability, scalability, and response times.
• Review application and database architecture and recommend optimization strategies and best practices.
• Support upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing operational excellence initiatives for Syncade MES environments.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
