Job summary

VARITE INC is seeking a Senior Survey Scientist for a remote, 6-month engagement. You will review questionnaires, design studies, determine sample sizes, and assess study quality to answer business questions.

You will lead discussions with clients, explain tradeoffs, and collaborate with the Simulate team to compare human and synthetic results. This role requires deep expertise in survey design, sampling, and statistical analysis, plus the ability to influence decisions.

Qualifications

• Ideal background: a senior applied researcher with deep expertise in survey design, sampling, sample-size determination, and statistical analysis.
• They should have experience advising customer or business teams, explaining complex findings clearly, and influencing decisions.
• Relevant backgrounds include survey science, quantitative consumer research, marketing science, and survey methodology.

Responsibilities

• Review customer questionnaires, sampling plans, and proposed analyses against the business questions they need to answer.
• Determine appropriate sample sizes for the intended comparisons, including key audience segments.
• Identify bias, measurement problems, and limitations that could undermine the findings.
• Lead research discussions with customers, explain tradeoffs, and recommend practical improvements.
• Own the scientific assessment of study quality and clearly communicate which conclusions the evidence supports.
• Work with the Simulate team to design credible comparisons between human and synthetic results.
• Turn recurring lessons from customer studies into survey templates, review criteria, and product quality checks.

Job Title: Senior Survey Scientist

Location: Remote

Contract Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate Range: $90.00 - $98.59/hr. on W2
