Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Market Research, Psychology, Business, Communications, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in market research, customer insights, consumer insights, consulting, or marketing analytics.
  • Experience with survey design, questionnaire development, focus groups, in-depth interviews, campaign effectiveness studies, brand tracking, and sponsorship measurement.
  • Experience managing external research suppliers and agencies.
  • Experience supporting financial services, insurance, consumer brands, sports sponsorships, media measurement, or advertising effectiveness research preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end execution of multiple research studies simultaneously, including planning, questionnaire development, fieldwork oversight, analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define objectives and recommend methodologies (quant/qual, tracking, sponsorship, brand health).
  • Lead external vendors and consultants, ensuring timelines, budgets, methods, and quality.
  • Review instruments, sampling plans, and analysis plans to meet business objectives.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations and communicate findings to leadership levels.
  • Support ongoing brand tracking, sponsorship measurement, and ad-hoc research initiatives.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Research Consultant to support enterprise marketing, sponsorship, brand, and member insights initiatives. This role will lead and manage multiple concurrent quantitative and qualitative research projects from scoping through reporting, partnering with internal stakeholders and external research suppliers to ensure successful execution and delivery.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, strategic researcher with expertise in survey research, vendor management, project management, and insight development. This individual will serve as a trusted research partner by translating data and findings into actionable business recommendations that inform marketing, sponsorship, and brand strategy.

Pay: $85-95k

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end execution of multiple research studies simultaneously, including project planning, questionnaire development, fieldwork oversight, analysis, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Partner with internal business teams to understand research objectives and recommend appropriate methodologies, including quantitative, qualitative, tracking, campaign effectiveness, sponsorship measurement, and brand health research.
  • Serve as day-to-day lead for external research vendors and consultants, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, methodologies, and quality standards.
  • Review research instruments, discussion guides, sampling plans, analysis plans, and final deliverables to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Monitor active studies and proactively manage milestones, risks, dependencies, and escalation items.
  • Synthesize findings from multiple data sources into clear, actionable insights and business recommendations.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations and communicate research findings to stakeholders across varying leadership levels.
  • Support annual and recurring research programs, including brand tracking, sponsorship measurement, campaign effectiveness studies, and ad hoc research initiatives.
  • Maintain project documentation, research repositories, vendor files, and study records.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Brand, Sponsorships, Media, Agency Partners, Procurement, and Operations teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve research processes, leverage industry best practices, and increase organizational research effectiveness.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to business partners on research design, interpretation of results, and application of insights.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex research projects simultaneously.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research expertise.
  • Advanced PowerPoint, Excel, and data storytelling skills.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to translate research findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement, statement of work management, and research budgeting processes.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Market Research, Psychology, Business, Communications, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in market research, customer insights, consumer insights, consulting, or marketing analytics.
  • Experience with survey design, questionnaire development, focus groups, in-depth interviews, campaign effectiveness studies, brand tracking, and sponsorship measurement.
  • Experience managing external research suppliers and agencies.
  • Experience supporting financial services, insurance, consumer brands, sports sponsorships, media measurement, or advertising effectiveness research preferred.
  • Experience working with vendors such as Ipsos, MarketCast, Kantar, Qualtrics, Dynata, SRI, or similar research partners preferred.
  • Experience managing annual tracking studies and large-scale research programs preferred.
