Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking an Instrument Person to operate and maintain survey instrumentation for profile surveys, line locations, and pipeline-related tasks at our Houston office.

The role collaborates closely with the Survey Party Chief to implement project survey policies and achieve accurate data collection. The position requires a minimum of two years of surveying experience, GPS knowledge, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years surveying experience with instrument experience.
• Knowledge of electronic data collection methods in cross-country surveying.
• Must have a valid driver7s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain survey instrumentation for line locations, profiles, and cross‑country tasks.
• Assist Survey Party Chief in planning, documentation, and coordinating survey activities.
• Monitor quality and safety, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of survey work.
• Prepare and review project survey documentation, including field notes and data.
