Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Jackson, Mississippi seeks an Instrument Person to operate and maintain survey instrumentation for profile surveys, line locations, Re-Stake, Line Clearing, Line Locating, Loop Line Setup and River/Road Crossings.

You will work under the Survey Party Chief to execute survey procedures and ensure data quality. As part of the field team, you will assist with project plans, field notes, documentation, and interface with clients and landowners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; GPS knowledge preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
• Experience with electronic data collection methods and survey data.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain survey instrumentation for profile surveys and line locations.
• Assist the Survey Party Chief in planning, documentation and data collection.
• Monitor performance, ensure quality and safety, meet schedules and budgets.
• Provide guidance to survey personnel and resolve issues with clients or landowners.
