Job summary

Bowman in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Survey CAD Technician III to join our team. You will prepare ALTA survey drawings, perform complex boundary analyses, and convert field data into precise project documents. The role supports project teams and requires strong problem solving and a collaborative mindset.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in land surveying/CAD, proficiency with Carlson/Bentley Inroads/Geopak/Revit, and an Associate's degree in a related field. Local travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in survey, geography, architecture or civil engineering preferred; commensurate experience ok.
• 5+ years of relevant survey and/or CAD experience in land development/land survey.
• Proficiency in Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak, Revit or similar civil design software.
• Surveyor-in-Training certificate preferred; relevant licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare working drawings from ALTA surveys for final approval and submission.
• Use critical thinking and problem‑solving to start and complete projects with limited supervision.
• Convert data into electronically generated drawings and project documents with accuracy.
• Compute horizontal and vertical positions for stakeouts and boundary surveys.
• Read client requests and standards to ensure compliance in all deliverables.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes and measurements.
• Check plats for completeness prior to review and submit plots to agencies.
• Conduct research using GIS/data from other agencies as needed.
