Job summary

This role includes mentoring colleagues, precepting RNs and students, and being on-call as needed. Candidates should possess an Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology, a Certificate of Completion, and BLS certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Certificate of Completion in Surgical Technology is required.
• Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Set up sterile field, scrub in, and assist as needed during cases.
• Maintain instrument readiness, trays, and supplies for multiple case types.
• Precept and mentor staff and students in planning for surgical events.
• Be available for on-call shifts outside normal hours and holidays.
