Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub in prior to patient entry.
• Open and organize back table and mayo set for cases.
• Maintain appropriate
• Use resources wisely to avoid unnecessary openings.
• Support case flow with efficient setup and readiness.
• Precept surgical techs and RNs for diverse procedures.
• Run mayo independently when needed.
• Anticipate intra-op needs and adjust as cases evolve.
• Teach RNs to scrub on various cases.
• Participate in case closing activities and turnover.
• Plan for unexpected intra-op events and respond promptly.
