Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston is seeking a Surgical Technician II to work with Registered Nurses in the OR suite, supporting patient care and instrument preparation.

You will scrub in on cases, assist surgeons, help with room turnover and instrument decontamination, and participate in orientation for new technicians; must meet accredited program, BLS, and have multiple years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a surgical technology program which is CAAHEP or ABHES accredited.
• BLS certification required.
• 3+ years of surgical technician experience.
• Mastery of advanced Surgical Technician skills and knowledge of at least one specialty service.
• Basic computer skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares instruments for each surgical procedure.
• Scrubs in on cases to prepare instruments and assist the surgeon.
• Assists in room turnover and instrument decontamination.
• Contributes to orientation of new surgical technicians.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development relating to age groups.
• Staffs ASC OR as needed.
• Works with ages: Infant to Geriatric.
