Qualifications

• Graduate from a surgical technology program which is CAAHEP or ABHES accredited.
• BLS certification.
• 3+ years of surgical technician experience.
• Mastery of advanced Surgical Technician skills and knowledge of at least one specialty service.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares instruments for each surgical procedure.
• Scrubs in on surgical cases to prepare instruments and assist the surgeon.
• Assists in room turnover and is responsible for instrument decontamination.
• Contributes to the orientation of new surgical technicians.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development as it relates to age groups.
• Works as needed to provide staffing for the ASC OR.
• Serves age groups: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.
