Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Patient Services Representative Senior (PSR Senior) to coordinate advanced surgical scheduling for multiple surgeons across locations. The role requires prior PSR experience and strong scheduling workflows in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will collaborate with providers, clinical teams, patients, hospitals, and external partners to coordinate surgical care and deliver outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of relevant experience in patient services or scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversees development and delivery of functional training to clerical staff using standard work.
• Responsible for auditing and developing action plans for process improvement.
• Schedules complex incoming/outgoing referrals, complex surgeries and in-office procedures, tests, including medical record review of incoming referrals.
• Performs tracking and trending collaborative review/audits within department/practice.
• Serves as a subject matter expert/resource to the department/practice.
• Possesses the ability to perform the roles of Patient Services Representative, Associate and Intermediate roles when necessary.
• Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
