Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Patient Service Representative Senior to coordinate advanced surgical scheduling for multiple surgeons across locations. This role requires prior PSR experience and a strong understanding of complex scheduling workflows in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees development and delivery of functional training to clerical staff using standard work.
• Audits and develops action plans for process improvement.
• Schedules complex incoming/outgoing referrals, complex surgeries and in-office procedures, tests, including medical record review of incoming referrals.
• Performs tracking and trending collaborative review/audits within department/practice.
• Serves as a subject matter expert/resource to the department/practice.
• Possesses the ability to perform the roles of Patient Services Representative, Associate and Intermediate roles when necessary.
• Participates in safety initiatives and completes all safety competencies and requirements on time.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
