The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. is seeking a skilled Surgical Scheduling Coordinator to manage routine and complex operative cases within the department.

You will coordinate with providers, offices, and the OR team to optimize schedules, communicate pre- and post-operative instructions, and support patients throughout the surgical journey. Responsibilities include developing contingency plans, leading scheduling staff, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with healthcare

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in surgical scheduling, administration, or healthcare management.
• Strong leadership and management skills with experience leading a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with patient education focus.

Responsibilities

• Schedules routine and complex operative cases.
• Coordinate pre-procedure planning, including pre-op and post-op visits.
• Communicate with clinical staff to coordinate scheduling with providers and OR.
• Develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions and optimize the schedule.
• Train and educate scheduling staff to ensure adherence to practice standards.
• Identify process improvements and support patient experience.
