Qualifications

• 5+ years of scheduling experience (preferably surgical scheduling) or closely related healthcare administrative experience.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or a combination of related experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all operating room surgeries and procedures.
• Monitor front office workflow and adjust for optimum service.
• Verify patient demographics and obtain pre-certifications from insurers.
• Obtain patient medical clearance.
• Schedule pre-op and post-op visits with providers.
• Coordinate surgeries across multiple institutions and departments.
• Train and mentor junior Surgical Scheduling staff.
• Enter surgical data in EPIC and maintain accurate records.
