Qualifications

• 2 years of surgical scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all OR surgeries and procedures.
• Verify patient demographics and obtain pre-certification from insurance carriers for all OR surgeries and procedures.
• Record hospital reservation and pre-admit data in prevailing institutional system.
• Arrange patient pre-testing with appropriate departments and obtain patient medical clearance.
• May place surgical confirmation calls in advance of scheduled surgery or procedure date.
• Liaise between referring physicians and surgeons for communication of clinical data and OR scheduling.
• Distribute appropriate paperwork to internal and external parties to coordinate surgeries.
• Schedule post-operative follow-up visits with providers.
• Perform other related duties.
