Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Senior Scheduler to coordinate surgery scheduling, pre-op physicals, and related testing. You will work with patients, families, staff, and providers to ensure efficient care paths and accurate documentation for billing and approvals.

The role requires a high school diploma and preferably an Associate degree in a related field; alternatively, 5 years of fast-paced scheduling experience in healthcare may qualify. Full-time schedule Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree in business, accounting, medical office management, medical administration, secretarial science, health services administration, or related degree preferred.
• In lieu of an Associate's Degree, 5 years of experience in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment with scheduling responsibilities, preferably in health care.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgery, pre-op physicals, and testing with patients, families, staff, and providers.
• Ensure prior authorizations are completed in a timely manner per insurer requirements and improve efficiency.
• Ensure documentation supports billing (insurance verification, prior authorization).
• Oversee scheduling tools to be complete, accurate and up-to-date.
