Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and written communication, organization, consultative, recordkeeping, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret title records, legal descriptions, survey plats, and surface agreements.
• Working knowledge of surface and mineral estate relationships and access requirements on private, state, and federal lands.
• Proficiency with land records systems, mapping/GIS tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with land surveyors in the field, staking pads, pipelines.
• Able to build relationship building, including interaction with land, permitting, operations, geology, State and Federal agencies, mineral and surface owners.
• Initiative and ability to work independently.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Competent writer of agreements, reports, summaries, and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft surface use agreements, rights of way, and easements.
• Review surface title and ownership records; coordinate with brokers and Legal.
• Resolve landowner concerns and restoration issues with internal teams.
• Identify surface constraints and secure necessary rights before construction.
• Coordinate execution, recording, and maintenance of ownership records.
• Serve as liaison among Denver Office, landowners, and field personnel.
• Coordinate with agencies to obtain access and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Track agreement obligations, payments, and deadlines.
