Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in the United States seeks a Senior Associate in Supply Chain—Distribution & Logistics to lead large, complex engagements for portfolio companies. You will map supply chain networks, analyze costs, and design strategic improvements across sourcing, planning, and operations, collaborating with PE leadership.

The role requires 4-7+ years of consulting or industry experience, with hands-on expertise in distribution, logistics, and inventory optimization.

Qualifications

• 4-7+ years of consulting or industry operating experience.
• Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm, leading specialist, niche advisory firm, or Big-4 preferred.
• Hands-on experience in distribution and logistics network optimization, transportation and warehouse sourcing, 3PL operating experience, production and inventory planning.
• Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Flexibility to travel based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering large, complex client engagements by working with Private Equity leadership.
• Identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for portfolio companies.
• Analyze network design, cost structures, and inventory flows to identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop transformation plans for transportation, warehousing, and distribution improvements.
• Support sourcing events and RFI/RFP processes with 3PLs when applicable.
