Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Associate, Supply Chain - Distribution & Logistics to support large client engagements across the United States. You will analyze network design, inventory flows, and sourcing events, collaborating with PEPI leadership to identify opportunities and implement solutions.

The role requires 4–7+ years of consulting or industry experience, a bachelor’s degree, and travel flexibility.

Qualifications

• 4-7+ years of consulting or industry operating experience.
• Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm, leading specialist, niche advisory firm, or Big-4 consultancy preferred.
• Hands-on experience in distribution and logistics network optimization, transportation and warehouse sourcing, 3PL operating experience, production and inventory planning.
• Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Flexibility to travel based on project requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering large, complex client engagements by working closely with Private Equity leadership to identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for portfolio companies.
• Analyze supply chain network design and footprints, including warehousing and distribution cost structures and inventory flows.
• Develop high-level planning models to support inventory optimization across networks.
• Assist in sourcing events related to transportation and warehousing, including RFIs/RFPs and 3PL negotiations.
• Assess inventory planning processes and systems and recommend improvements for service levels and working capital.
