Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Senior Associate in Supply Chain - Distribution & Logistics to support PEPI client engagements across the United States. You will work with Private Equity leadership to identify, design, and implement strategic improvements in manufacturing, sourcing, planning, and distribution for portfolio companies.

The role emphasizes network design, inventory optimization, and 3PL sourcing with opportunity to travel for project delivery.

Qualifications

• 4-7+ years of consulting or industry operating experience.
• Hands-on experience in distribution and logistics network optimization, transportation and warehouse sourcing, 3PL operating experience, production and inventory planning.
• Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Flexibility to travel based on project requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Understand client supply chains including locations, costs and seasonality.
• Assess improvement opportunities and define strategies to meet objectives.
• Analyze network design: distribution centers, costs, and inventory flows across the network.
• Assist in sourcing events including 3PLs, RFIs/RFPs, negotiations and contracting.
• Assess inventory planning processes and systems for optimization.
• Develop transformation plans with timelines and estimated benefits (OPEX / inventory / service delivery).
