Aston Carter is seeking a Sr. Supply Chain Specialist in Glendora, CA, to oversee planning, procurement, and supplier coordination across multiple product lines.

The role emphasizes optimization of inventory, forecasting accuracy, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will manage material planning, interact with CMOs and external suppliers, and drive improvements in inventory flow and add strategic value to manufacturing schedules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supply chain experience with purchasing and planning.
• Experience with production planning and material planning in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Ability to own end-to-end planning and manufacturing schedules.
• Experience with supplier negotiations and contracting.
• Proficiency with ERP and MRP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills for analytics.
• Experience with long-term forecasting (>1 year).
• Familiarity with CMOs and external manufacturing partners.
• Knowledge of logistics, trade compliance, and 3PL coordination.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain activities for multiple product lines, from procurement to finished goods inventory.
• Develop material purchase plans based on sales forecasts and production requirements.
• Analyze inventory usage, scrap and waste; recommend improvements to reduce obsolescence.
• Create strategies to manage supply fluctuations and shortages.
• Coordinate material movements between internal storage, CMOs, and external suppliers.
• Own planning and execution of manufacturing processes and schedules.
• Provide strategic input for product lines and NPI initiatives.
• Source materials and suppliers worldwide; evaluate quality and cost.
• Lead supplier sourcing and negotiations to secure favorable terms.
• Ensure trade compliance documentation with 3PL providers.
• Monitor inventory risk and KPIs; report to Sr. stakeholders.
• Use ERP/MRP tools to manage data; perform long-term forecasting.
• Collaborate with CMOs on schedules, quality, and capacity.
• Support active product lines and NPI initiatives.
• Work cross-functionally to resolve issues and support business priorities.
• Focus on KPIs and proactive solutions; mentor buyers and staff.
